A Neapolitan mandolin with violins, cello and a classical guitars providing lively background accompaniment in a small ensemble characterize Italy’s unique musical tradition. This is Luca Artioli Mandolin Ensemble. Italian music, like no other, has shaped our image of the mandolin and the strings.

Under the artistic direction of Luca Artioli, the Mandolin Ensemble and its soloists undertake a fascinating musical journey through Italy: the program contains film music by the Italian master like Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Nicola Piovani together with new and unpublished classical compositions for Mandolin, Strings and Classical Guitar written by Luca Artioli explicitly for this Ensemble that evoke exquisitely Italian images and atmospheres.
